Guatemala - Seleccion Baja Verapaz
Weight: 12 oz
Process: Wet Process
Origin: Cubulco, Baja Verapaz
A relatively new coffee-growing region, Baja Verapaz rests within a Guatemalan rainforest. The region has proven to be fruitful, producing corn, tomatoes and beans, historically. As the region welcomed coffee, it emerged perfectly poised to produce solid cup: great elevation, dry climate, and lots of natural shade. All of these factors combined with very balanced varietals brings us this Seleccion Baja Verapaz.
This coffee is pleasantly balanced with plenty of sweetness, and it has a great pop of bright citrus notes as well. It presents as a mellow cup of coffee, but once you start sipping, you’ll notices the layers of flavors, both candy-sweet and floral. We love this coffee because it develops on your palate as you continue to drink it. That said, it still contains those chocolate and caramel base notes that make it appealing to the masses. We are always looking for coffees that enourage our customers to try something while still honoring what they enjoy most about coffee. We think this one does the trick. We hope you agree.
